i know i should be taking a break from discord but their status said something about how their kindness is being taken for granted or something. i’ve heard a similar thing before from someone who i think might’ve groomed me so idk if im actually doing that or if its more manipulation. most of the time my friendships and stuff dont work out for whatever reason and ig im worried that im the problem? my mom just says its bc im young and that stuff happens but idk.

It sounds like you're getting there. I think three things to get used to are 1 - sometimes we make good decisions that still upset other people and that's ok, 2 - we have permission to go back on what we have said and 3 - many of our valued relationships will end in some way.

With that stuff under your belt, hitting the block button when it's needed is a lot easier.

When you think about it, those things aren't very common in kids media, where doing the right thing mostly makes everyone happy, it's good to follow through with what you said, and friendships/relationships stay mostly the same from episode to episode. So now that you are dealing with more complicated relationship stuff, some of the old rules might need an update!

I'll also add that experiences like this suck, but they're also some of the ways many of us learn these lessons. I've been told many a useful thing which only became clear after some bad experience and I'm like "oooooh, that's what they meant".
