Post-orgasm "funk"
Hi, apologies if this has already been addressed/answered, I looked around for a bit and couldn't find anything,
99% of the time after orgasm or even just masturbation in general, I feel like.. weird? in a bad way. Maybe similar to dom "drop", but less intense. I feel exhausted physically afterward which makes sense, but emotionally/mentally I just usually feel like, bored? Neutral?
I have trouble phrasing emotions and bodily feelings due to autism so I hope this makes at least some lick of sense. I have no idea if this is normal, I usually just see people talking about post-orgasm feeling nice

Hey there Ferretfriend, and welcome to the boards!
This does make sense! From what you’re describing, this sounds like a phenomenon that can naturally happen to folks after orgasm. When you orgasm, pleasure hormones are released and you can feel this intense “rush,” where, when that feeling of climax resolves (as a natural part of the sexual response cycle), some folks can feel a bit down. There’s some words for it that folks use, some folks describe it as post-coital dysphoria, some folks on the internet colloquially call it “post-nut clarity,” so you may see that term used sometimes and that’s what that’s referring to. But these terms generally describe the feeling of a “drop” after orgasm. Does any of that resonate with you? Too, would you say these feelings are distressing to you?

Yes, that does resonate i think! And no, not distressing, just wondering if it was normal or something I was doing wrong? Thank you for your response, very appreciated.

You’re welcome! And yes, totally normal, but if it ever becomes bothersome to you, we can certainly talk about it and some after-care strategies to help feel a little better if you’d like.
