(Vent) why do people even troll here?

If it doesn't seem to fit anywhere else, this is probably the place for it.

Trolling on a sex ed website of all places has to be the most pathetic shit Ive ever heard like those people really have nothing else better to do
(This is a vent, I rly don’t know why people would spend their time trolling on a site where people actually GET help)

In my experience, people who troll don't care about things like people getting helped. In my experience, people who troll don't care about much except themselves. So, expecting them to make choices on where they troll based on things like if a service has value to people is expecting much too much.

Well, yea. My point is that the people choosing to troll here in particular are just actual losers with no life

I'll tell you something you might find interesting. Every now and then -- and more often in text or chat than on the boards -- we'll let someone know that we know they are trolling, will then remind them of what we do here, and will ask them if they have any real questions or things they want to talk with us about. Sometimes they say yes, and then we have a perfectly productive conversation. And every great now and then, that person will also take some responsibility for coming in first as a troll. That part happens less often, but still sometimes!
