So we have only been having sex the last month or so and its been rather enjoyable. I knew he wasn't lasting long but just tonight when we were talking he told me that he finishes early but just keeps going. I'm worried that means hes not enjoying it because hes already finished and is just going for me. He is my first and im only the second girl hes been with and I want him to enjoy it too.

The thing is, the only way to find out if he is enjoying it or not, is to ask him. It sounds like you two already talk about sex quite openly, which is great, and incorporating a talk about what you both enjoy and want or not, is really important not only regarding this topic.
What we know about partnered sex in general is that how much someone is enjoying it, is about many other things and not about if and how fast someone orgasms. It’s much more about qualities like communication, attentiveness, awareness or creativity. It is not realistic nor kind to expect all partners to orgasm at the same time or at all, but if we make sex about intimacy, spending time together and exploring pleasure rather then only about orgasms (that last only a small part of the whole experience anyway), it doesn’t have to be a bummer. Does that make sense?
