Body on birth control
Hello! I’ve recently (2 weeks ago today) started Lo Loestrin birth control and I’ve noticed some blood spotting since last week. I was wondering (because my boyfriend would like to eat me out the next time we hang out) if it stops when the vagina gets wet? I would prefer him not to do it if I know that there is still blood.

Hi emmy09!
Vaginal lubrication won't stop blood from being there or from coming out the way water typically does. Even with water, such as in the shower or in a pool, the blood isn't coming out but it's still there. Some people who want to avoid any interaction with blood opt for wearing a tampon during oral sex, typically right after a shower, and having their partner focus only on the clitoris. But if you're uncomfortable with receiving oral during your period, that's also an okay thing to tell him. <3
