Confused

Unread post by Gabrielle »

I’m on a combination pill junel 1.5 ( there’s 20 active pills and 7 placebo week pills) I took my last active pill ( it’s the 21st pill in the pack ) then the next day I started my placebo week. I don’t plan on having sex during placebo week or anytime soon. I want to get off this bc pill , should I be worried about the sex incident? Would the sperm survive the placebo week ? Would I get pregnant off that incident ? Thank you

Hello, Gabrielle!

Is the incident you mention here the same one from your last thread, where you had sex with your partner on the day you took your 21st birth control pill?

If it is: As Becky discussed, it is unlikely that the sperm would survive through the placebo week, but not entirely impossible. We can't say for sure whether you will get pregnant, but I don't think you need to worry. Instead, we can plan for what you should do now, given this risk that is low, but not absent. It sounds like you don't want to be pregnant, so we can plan to make sure that doesn't happen. How does that sound?

Hi again!

I’ve replied to your question in your other topic, so please let me know there if it’s helpful or if you have other questions. It’s better to keep conversations about the same things in one thread so we can keep better track of them. Thank you!
