Scent of sex
Is it weird that I don’t like the smell of dick?
I think my partner is relatively clean but I don’t know, I just don’t like the scent.
For me it smells like me when I ah ent showered in a while.
Sometimes, when I’m really turned on it smells better but when I’m not totally in the mood I don’t really like it. Is this normal?

Hey gnarp_gnarp!
It’s not weird at all! We all have different relationships with scent, and it’s totally okay if you don’t like certain smells. It also totally makes sense that it might be a more pleasant experience when you’re more aroused, but I can appreciate that you don’t enjoy it other times. Can I ask, do you think it could be an issue of them not cleaning himself entirely? Too, I guess more importantly, have you brought this up to them before, or do you feel comfortable doing so?

Re: Scent of sex
Im not sure. I have brought this up before but its like, they shower about 2 hours before we hook up so I don’t think it’s because they don’t clean themselves.
Also I noticed I really don’t like it when I feel ill and I also hate the smell of my own saliva

Ah, that makes sense! Would you say you’re particularly sensitive to certain smells?
Also, how did the conversation go when you brought it up to them?

It makes sense to me that if you are already someone that is sensitive to smells, the smell of someone's particular genitals would not be overly pleasant to you. Totally normal!
Glad the convo felt good, too.
I would challenge you to ask yourself, "Is this true of how I feel about the scent of all genitals, or just this partner's?". I say this as odor can vary depending on a plethora of things, such as health conditions, hormones, hygiene etc. and is not consistent person to person.

Re: Scent of sex
They mean that there isn't a way "dicks" smell. Genitals -- no matter the type -- all smell semi-similar in that they all are body parts of people, who all smell semi-similar, and all tend to hang out inside pants all day and sweat and produce some fluids. But how we all smell also varies a lot, less based on what kinds of genitals we have and more based on things like all of our unique genetics, our personal hygeine habits, hormonal fluctuations, health conditions, even what we eat, to some degree.
Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has. - Margaret Mead
