Hey there.

Can you say more about why you feel scared to buy your friend this test? And why you feel scared about possible results that are about your friend, and not about you?

I'm glad that getting it for her didn't turn out to be anything you needed to be scared of. Sounds like you're a good friend. <3

I understand feeling afraid for a friend who might be pregnant if they don't want to be. Has she talked with you about how she feels about that?

she sounded so like disconnected and she was making jokes about how we can just do her abortion which i think is just her trying to cope so i cant say anything on that but she said she absolutely does not want to have it if it’s positive.

Yeah, gallows humour is a way a lot of people cope with stressful situations (I do it, too). Obviously, surgical abortion is not something a friend can perform, and given that both surgical and self-managed abortion are very hard to access in Turkey, I can certainly understand that your friend is under a lot of stress.

I hope so, too.

In the event she does get a positive result and wants to talk about her options, or get help possibly talking to her mom, please let her know we'd be happy to talk her through any of that here.
