I have a question
A while back k was thinking of getting into LEGAL sex work in about 2 years once i turn 19(im seventeen) what are the dangers its probably not a good idea but i really want it to be honest.
The things i was thinking of we're porn and stripping since by the time i will have transitioned
I hope this question isnt particularly bad so be nice in the replies because i have curiosity

Re: I have a question
Hello Shreklover,
I've caught up on some of your past posts here, and I am sorry to hear that you are in pain and struggling with abuse at home.
I understand that you might be thinking about leaving home, and about how you will support yourself in the future. If I may ask, what makes you interested in sex work? You've mentioned that it probably isn't a good idea--what do you think the risks and challenges are?
Just to check in, how are things at home? Heather suggested that you call the department of children and family services in your state. Were you able to do that?

1. There are dangers to stuff like future jobs and very hard to get out of sex
2. Its not very safe
3. Its a hard to do job with lots of marketing
Im interested mainly because of the money plus i like talking to people im an extrovert and i like sex/masturbaiting while thats not the same sex work it's been in my head since i started masturbaiting and even when im not horny i seriously consider as once i move out in a few months once i turn 18 I'll probably need money

Re: I have a question
Hey there, Shreklover.
It's just not appropriate for us to engage with minors about them potentially performing sex work here. That creates both potential legal and ethical issues for us as an organization and a service. I need to close this thread as a result.
If and when you are a legal adult and you do still want to seriously talk with someone about this, my best advice is to connect with your local SWOP (sex worker's organizing project). SWOPs local grassroots support organizations, organized and maintained by sex workers themselves to help protect workers in terms of both their rights and safety, so the people who are part of them can speak best to what it's like for workers locally. That matters because sex work in one place can be very different than in another given the diversity of laws and client culture in the US.
