I can’t get my finger in.

When I try to masturbate, I use lube and make sure I’m aroused, but no matter what I do, I simply cannot get my finger in :(

Hi there, and welcome to the boards.

Do you feel very familiar with that anatomy in terms of things like knowing where the vaginal opening is and how the vagina is something on an upward curve in most positions, rather than something that goes straight back? Are you having any pain when you're trying to do this? What does it feel like is happening when you try? Does it feel like you can find that opening but you are hitting an inflexible wall? Or does it feel like you're pushing against something that is flexible, but won't let you in? Have you tried doing this while using a mirror to see if you can't see what is happening (or not happening)? If so, can you say what it looked like when this wasn't working?

I do want to mention that inserting one's own finger into the vagina isn't usually something that -- especially all by itself -- is particularly satisfying for many people, probably primarily because of both the lack of fine-touch nerve endings in the vagina and the limitations of how you can use your own hands and fingers given the way they're attached to the body. Of course, who's to say what will feel good or not to you, and that's only something anyone can find out by exploring and experimenting. And regardless, for whatever reason, you should be able to find your vaginal opening with a fingertip and put a finger inside.
