Birth control question!
I just recently started birth control. I took it how I was supposed to and got up to the sugar pill week, and on the second day of the sugar pill, I started bleeding. Is that the fake period? And also if I were to have sex, would this bleed, be like a period indicating that I was not pregnant?

Hi lellykelly,
Yes, if you started bleeding on the placebo (sugar) pills, then that's most likely your withdrawl bleed. And yes, if you were to have sex, a withdrawl bleed would indicate that you had not gotten pregnant as a result of that sex.

And you to whom adversity has dealt the final blow/with smiling bastards lying to you everywhere you go/turn to and put out all your strength of arm and heart and brain/and like the Mary Ellen Carter rise again.

Ok. Thank you. Also getting your withdrawel bleed is a great indicator that you're not pregnant?

Re: Birth control question!
The best indication that you are not pregnant is by taking a pregnancy test and getting negative results. But as Sam said, a withdrawal bleed indicates no pregnancy occurred.
