Unread post by Saltyboi »

Hi Saltyboi,

Thanks for paying attention to our policies!

We had to introduce that policy at a time when non-risk pregnancy panic questions were flooding our direct services - thankfully that has slowed down over the years.

We still won't engage in anxiety-posting that seems to be enabling rather than helping the person going through the panic-posting loop but it's a bit more case-by case.

I hope this helps clear things up.

So to put it shortly the staff will now respond to some of those types of questions but not certain ones that looks enabling.

Thanks for the info

If we believe that answering a user will be helpful to them, rather than just do things that keep a user locked in anxiety, then yep. This has been the case now for a while, and something we shifted once we were no longer drowning in pregnancy scare posts, but also as a result of the abortion landscape changing so much for the worse in one of the areas where many of our users are (the US), that it's very understandable that some folks fears have been massively amplified.

Long story short: we answer these at our discretion.
