Hi there, Sunshinee.

Seeing your previous posts and how much anxiety that scare caused you, I highly suggest getting on a form of birth control that's more effective than condoms (and still using condoms - doubling up is the safest way to go). Which specific birth control, though, is up to you and factors like whether you're good at remembering to take a daily pill around the same time, whether you're okay with an IUD insertion procedure, cost/insurance, etc.

Here's a link to our article going through all the different methods of birth control so you can learn more about them and ask your healthcare provider for a prescription: Birth Control Bingo

If you're unable to see a medical provider, there are now over-the-counter birth control pills, you can learn more about them here. I still recommend trying to see a doctor before starting, though, if you can.

hello, yes i was thinking about that too also for my acne but im not sure if i want to do it bc i have been on BC before and it made me moody and all that. i had sex with the condom but he didnt finish in me at all. we did oral to get him to finish and i made sure that the condom was put on right and left some space in the tip, made sure it didnt break or leak.

Not all birth control methods are the same as far as amounts of estrogen and such, so hormonal changes aren't always the same with every method. Condoms alone are not going to 100% prevent pregnancy, so while it's A LOT better than nothing, doubling up is the way to go if you want to be as safe as possible. Did you get a chance to look through the birth control bingo and read about different methods?
