I feel unlikeable

I dress in the scenemo style (an edgier style that is a mixture of scene kid and emo fashion) and like alternative music, my hobbies are "weird" too (I like comic books, old or vintage toy lines, collecting physical media) which is different from the other girls I know. I'm often seen as "scary" "weird" or a freak and I'm just feeling hopeless, I feel like I don't align with what most people would want to date and when the people talk about who they like, my name is never mentioned, I like who I am but I'm not seen as attractive by most. I don't want to be alone forever while all the other girls talk about their boyfriends girlfriends partner's ect

I’m so sorry to hear you are feeling like this, it sounds so isolating.

I’m wondering, do you have a space, friends or an online community for example, with people who share the same style or hobbies? If not, we can definitely talk about how to find spaces like these, because having people who accept you as you are and who you can chat with about your interests goes a long way in feeling good in life in general <3

As for romantic relationships, the thing is, even if it was true that you don't align with who most people would want to date, you will realistically never date "most people" in the world but rather maybe only a handful who will hopefully like you as a whole person and you will like them back. I also think it’s important to take into account that at your age, your circles are still quite limited by the school you go to and the place you live and you will definitely meet more people who you click with as you get older and your options for meeting people increase! Heck, at your age, a lot of people haven’t even started thinking about and forming romantic relationships.
Even though you might feel in a tough spot with this at the moment, I don’t see any reason why you would have to be always alone if you don’t want to. Hang in there and let us know how can we best help you around this<3
