Excessive Discharge
Hi there! I'm just hoping to get some suggestions on dealing with what feels like excessive vaginal discharge. I've been to a doctor and found no issues. I'm just getting bugged by constantly feeling like I've urinated myself. Has anyone else experienced this and have any ideas on what I could do? So far, I've tried wearing pads and cotton underwear but it's still a bother. Thank you!

Re: Excessive Discharge
Hello there, aeChristine. Welcome to Scarleteen.
Glad to hear you've checked in with your doctor and that there's nothing to worry about. Though, I totally understand that you still feel uncomfortable around this situation.
Right now I don't have any useful information but I wanted to let you know that someone saw your post. I will leave a note for my fellow volunteers, so as soon as someone with more experience comes, they will try to reply to you.

Re: Excessive Discharge
Really, if infection has been ruled out, you've got to figure this is just a new normal for you.
As people go through puberty -- and you should generally figure you're in it until your mid-twenties, on average -- fertility cycles are still developing and shifting. Too, on average, people in their late teens and early to mid-twenties are basically as fertile as they'll ever be, before or after, so increased fluid discharges are common.
Is this something happening for you every day, for many months, or is it more sporadic, and/or not something that's been going on for a long time like that?

Re: Excessive Discharge
It's pretty much on a daily basis, but definitely some days where it's more common than others. Are there any pads sepcifically meant for discharge that isn't menstrual blood? Typical pads are a bit too bulky. I'm thinking maybe trying a pad for bladder incontinence would be worth a shot.

Pantiliners -- disposable or washable -- are the product people who want something for discharge most typically use. Have you tried some version of those?

Pantiliners will probably be the best option - I will give them a go. Thank you a ton. It was helpful just to know that this is just a normal part of growing up - thank you
