Spotting

Unread post by anonymous1701 »

What are some reasons for spotting a week before my period is due? My boyfriend and I have always used both condoms and pullout method so I don't believe pregnancy is a real risk.

Hi anonymous,

That's one of those questions where we cannot give a definite answer, because everybody's body is different. Sometimes your body just spots, other times it may be a signal that your period is arriving a little earlier than expected.
And you to whom adversity has dealt the final blow/with smiling bastards lying to you everywhere you go/turn to and put out all your strength of arm and heart and brain/and like the Mary Ellen Carter rise again.

Is it possible to have implantation bleed a month after last having sex, having had a period since?

It sounds like you're concerned about pregnancy, given what you're asking, so the place to start with this kind of question is here: The Pregnancy Panic Companion.

The option you'll want to pick, from the sounds of it, is the one for someone who is concerned about pregnancy, but has had a menstrual period since their last possible risk.

Too, in the event you are not current with your STI testing, that's something else to always be current with, and is a smart thing to do if spotting is something you're finding is occurring with any frequency for you.
