Pregnancy Scare??? Help

Unread post by ahk »

So i'm 18, i had sex on 1/27, my period app says i ovulate on 1/28, but this can be wrong sometimes my periods are irregular. The condom broke so now I'm worried i may be pregnant... Should I take plan B just to be safe today is 1/29? Will it work if i ovulated yesterday?

Hello there, ahk. Welcome to Scarleteen. :)

If you want to reduce the chances of pregnancy, then yes you can take Emergency Contraception. EC can be taken up to 120 hours after the risk, the sooner the better of course.

The way that EC works is not only suppressing ovulation but also inhibiting fertilization. You can read more about it, here: http://www.scarleteen.com/article/sexua ... traception

If you need any help on how to get EC, just let us know and we'd be happy to guide you. :)
