Diarrhoea and vomiting after pill

Morning all,

Last night I took my pill at around 9pm, this was pill 17 of a 21 pill pack, I had sex with my partner and then went to bed.

This morning I woke up feeling ill at around 6am, and at 7am, I had a severe bout of vomiting and diarrhoea. My vomit (sorry!), was quite recognisable as my previous nights meal, and there was a suspiciously small white circle, so I'm unsure if this was my pill, strangely in absorbed. I haven't been ill since but I've taken another pill and will take another again at my usual time tonight. I will then continue my pill pack and skip the placebo week and go straight to the next pack.

Will I still be protected from pregnancy?

Hi Doritos,

It takes a pill around 2-3 hours to be absorbed into your system, so if the vomiting happened after that amount of time, you can assume you still have your normal protection amount from your pill.
And you to whom adversity has dealt the final blow/with smiling bastards lying to you everywhere you go/turn to and put out all your strength of arm and heart and brain/and like the Mary Ellen Carter rise again.
