Yasmin and holiday query

Unread post by saphira2013 »

Hi dear Scarleteen :)

I'm going abroad tomorrow and would like to check something regarding correct Yasmin usage. My last pack finished last Friday and because I don't want to be a messy crampy...well...mess while abroad, I continued directly onto another packed without having my withdrawal bleed. I'll be coming back on the 13th and will still have a week or so of pills left. Can I just stop taking them and have my withdrawal bleed and start the cycle as usual or should I take the full cycle to the end and then have my withdrawal bleed and start as usual? Gosh does that even make sense??

Thank you xx

If you are going to take pill packs back to back it is vital you take all of each pack (the active pills). If you don't, then your pill will not remain effective at preventing pregnancy.

So, what you will want to do is take the whole pack you started with all the way through. You may still have spotting or even bleeding like you hadn't done that regardless, but if that happens, again, still will need to finish this whole new pill pack if you want your pills to provide effective pregnancy prevention. Got it? :)
