Could I be pregnant if I stored my birth control in the cold?

I'm on birth control. I had my period about 2 and a half weeks ago and I've just finished my second week of active pills. I have never missed a pill or been more than an hour/hour and half late taking them. However I have extremely sore breasts and bad acne right now for the past week.. i took a pregnancy test and it was false. My period is due in a week and a half. Is there a chance I'm pregnant or is this simply my hormones? I have been on this birth control for 6 months and haven't had these symptoms since my first pack. Also I left my birth control pills in my car throughout the winter because I would leave my wallet in there and I'm not sure if the freezing cold would make them not effective?
