Coming off the pill to conceive?

Hello!

I've been on BC for about ten years now(pill, morena and back to the pill), and my husband and I are considering starting a family.

What we are curious about is if we should wait a bit after I stop the pill to try and conceive? My mom is concerned about the possibility of birth defects and suggest I do a cleanse, but what usually happens with this? Is it possible we would have difficulty conceiving because I've been on it so long?

Any advice would be great. Thank you. :D

Hi Mizuki,

I would talk with your healthcare provider about the best way to time going of your birth control and trying to conceive. A cleanse is not necessary, but they can give you a sense of what the best process would be given your specific medical history.
And you to whom adversity has dealt the final blow/with smiling bastards lying to you everywhere you go/turn to and put out all your strength of arm and heart and brain/and like the Mary Ellen Carter rise again.
