Hi,
For 4 months I was on lo loestrin fe birth control. A month ago, my doctor switched me over to Junel Fe (slightly higher dose) . I started taking it right after my lo loestrin pack, with no breaks in between. On day 6 of my active pill pack, I had sex. We used a condom but it came off inside of me, i pulled it out and I am unsure it anything got inside of me. I am now on the last day of my active pill and I have had a lot of breast tenderness in the past week, and some brown discharge for the past day or so. I know these are symptoms of the pill,especially since I switched to a new one, but I am also concerned about pregnancy. Was I protected with my pill? I am so upset :( Thank you.

Hi ap15,

If you switched pill types with no break in between, then you should have a high level of protection from the pill. I'd suggest calling your pharmacist to ask them about that as well.
And you to whom adversity has dealt the final blow/with smiling bastards lying to you everywhere you go/turn to and put out all your strength of arm and heart and brain/and like the Mary Ellen Carter rise again.
