Soy, birth control interaction?

I've read before that soy and some other foods can interact with birth control pills. Is this true? I feel like if certain kinds of food interacted with birth control that there would be a lot more pregnancies. I can understand how taking a strong dietary supplement could interact with birth control but what about foods that contain soy?

Thank you! I didn't think that food would do anything. I course definitely see that supplement could affect it since it's taken in large quantities compared to food.
