Birth control

I want to start getting on birth control and even more so because I'm going to be going away to college soon but I don't know how to tell my mom about it. Any advice?

Well, do you *want* to tell your Mom about it? I ask because you probably don't have to to acquire a method of birth control, and a lot of the time, people don't know that.

However, you still might want to because you want her support, or otherwise have a close relationship so you like sharing things with her, etc. But I just want to make sure it's like that first. :)
