Late period after sex on bc

I had sex on Friday and Saturday but I have been taking birth control for about 6 months now. I stared the brown pills Sunday and I usually get my period Monday but it hasn't came. Usually when I do have sex it's late but it still worries me. I just want to know if this is normal. Thank you.

Hi Mw2525,

A little cycle variation is normal, and there are lots of reasons why a period could be a few days late (although if you're expecting it today and it hasn't come and instead comes tomorrow or the next day, it barely counts as late). You can read about those here: M.I.A or, Dude, Where's My Period?
