Sometimes, you ask us how we worked out the percentages that we give you in our The Buddy System: Effectiveness Rates for Backing Up Your Birth Control With a Second Method article for the effectiveness of two contraceptive methods used together. That's fair enough, as we make clear that those dual-method percentages come from our mathematical workings, using the single-method percentages from scientific studies.

So, we've added a maths section for you! We lay out a brief explanation and demonstration of how the maths works, and walk through a couple of examples. Enjoy, fellow maths-lovers :)

(And no, other than this, we can't help you with your maths classes. Sex ed keeps us busy and entertained!)
