Pain!!!

My bf fingered me tonight and for the last few times it has really hurt, tonight it hurt as well and now I am so swollen!! Will the swelling most likely go away on it's own or should I see someone? It is scaring me, and I feel like sexual activity for me is always accompanied by pain and I don't like it, I don't know why I'm always in pain (I'm a virgin btw)

Hi Bluemonkey,

Painful penetration is caused by a few different things that you can read about here: From OW! to WOW! Demystifying Painful Intercourse . Two of the most common causes are a lack of lubrication and being tense. Do you feel like either of those apply to you?

If this activity hurts you, is there a reason you keep in engaging in it? And when it starts to hurt, do you ask your boyfriend to stop?
And you to whom adversity has dealt the final blow/with smiling bastards lying to you everywhere you go/turn to and put out all your strength of arm and heart and brain/and like the Mary Ellen Carter rise again.
