Yesterday, I was having sex with a new partner and noticed that the condom seemed a little loose at the base (maybe slightly too big). This was something I never experienced before. The condom seemed to work as it did not slip off or break. However, should I be concerned that some sperm could have escaped through the loose base?
P.S. I am also on the birth control pill, but having double protection (pill +condom) makes me feel secure, and if sperm could have escaped through the base, I will feel slightly less secure and will have to find new condoms.

Re: Loose condom
As long as the condom stayed on and didn't break, as it sounds like it did, then you can trust that it did its job properly. However, since it was loose, I think picking up a different style/size of condom is a good idea! If these are loose on your new partner, it could mean there's a higher likelihood that a condom could slip off in the future.
