I hate being a girl
I hate my female body and everyday I wish I was born a boy. It makes me really down and I just cant imagine living my whole life like this. Sometimes I can't even look in the mirror and go swimming. Will this go away? Is it normal?

Hi there Randomusername, and welcome to Scarleteen.
I'm sorry you're feeling such distress right now. We really can't know if these feelings will go away or not, but what we can say is that you're not alone in feeling this way; many people do feel uncomfortable with the gender they were assigned at birth. Have you looked at all into information about, or personal narratives by, transgender people? If so, has any of that resonated with you?
