Pain during sex

So me and my boyfriend decided it was time for us to have sex he’s not a virgin however I was at the time. He was gentle and he knew what he was doing however, the pain hurt really bad I could feel it on my back and in my stomach. It was if he was poking my stomach or something. I don’t know if this is normal I just want some advice because I’m scared that this will happen again!

Hi Cleounderwate,

Ouch, that sounds really unpleasant! Painful sex can be due to an assortment of things, and you can read all about them here: From OW! to WOW! Demystifying Painful Intercourse . The most common culprits are feeling tense or nervous, and not having enough lube. Do either of those apply to your situation?

Too, did you feel asking him to stop when it got painful? While sex can be painful, it's not supposed to be, so if it is that's usually a sign from our bodies that we should stop what we're doing.
And you to whom adversity has dealt the final blow/with smiling bastards lying to you everywhere you go/turn to and put out all your strength of arm and heart and brain/and like the Mary Ellen Carter rise again.
