I took a plan B pill after ovulation

I’m just wondering if a plan b pill would work for me since i ovulated on the 12th of March, I had sex yesterday March 23rd, and I took the pill within 24 hours. I’m 16 and i’m not ready to get pregnant yet, please help.

Plan B works best (up to 98%) when you take it within 24 hours of the risk, so it's great you were able to get it so soon. We cannot determine if it will exactly work for you outside of the typical effectiveness rates (75%-89% or up to 98% if taken quickly), unfortunately we are not psychic (sure would be great if we were!).

Going forward, would you like to discuss obtaining and/or using an ongoing form on birth control? I hear you saying that you are not ready to become pregnant and I'd love to help you with that! It sounds like you're tracking your cycles?
