How Do You Make Friends?

Something that's come up in quite a few conversations lately is how tricky it can be to make or maintain friendships. So, I thought it might be helpful to make a space where people can share what things have worked for them so that we can see all the different ways there are of finding people to connect with (both offline and online).

I will say that, as someone who sometimes struggles with social interactions, is to ask questions and listen more than talk in my first few interactions in a new space. It takes away the anxiety of trying to figure out what to say to get people to like me, and helps me focus on getting to know the people who are there. Seeking out spaces like discords about different podcasts has helped a lot too, because it's a casual way to talk to people who I know I already have something in common with.
