hi there! i was wondering if your first ever depo shot could affect your period already?
i just got my first depo shot (i’ve never been on birth control before then) and was supposedly due for my period a few days after i got it, but its been about a week since and still no period so i’m just a little confused
the ob-gyn said that it shouldn’t affect my period since it was already supposed to come so now i’m not sure what to think

Re: depo shot
Hi omnomnonny,
It's pretty common for Depo-provera to cause periods to affect your periods - including making them lighter or stopping them from coming at all. You can read more about the shot here: Depo-Provera (The Shot)
