Late Period
Her period has not came yet. Her period was due on the 25th.
But that got me curious was that, on the 20th, she experienced a very small/short line of pinkish on her pantyliner. Then, on the 25th, where her period was suppose to come, she experienced a clear discharge. A friend of mine says that it means she is ovulating. Her friend also said that her period was about to come. Then, today she experienced a yellowish discharge (not pee) and it was odourless on her panty.
1. What was the pinkish discharge?
2. Is it possible to start ovulating after 4 weeks of her previous period?
3. What was the yellowish discharge?
Thank You In Advance!

Re: Late Period
I don't know who the "her" is in this, but if she is someone concerned she may be pregnant, what she'll want to do is follow the steps here -- The Pregnancy Panic Companion -- picking the option on that page for someone whose period is late: http://www.scarleteen.com/the_pregnancy ... _or_missed
Mind, it may not be late, because a "late" period is technically a period that is five or more days later than the LATEST someone expects a period, and it's never sound to expect it on only one day, because even the most regular of cycles will often deviate by a couple days from cycle to cycle.

Re: Late Period
Thanks For Replying . The "her" is my girlfriend. Yeah I've read the article you gave me. In my situation, the only sexual activity that the both of us had done was manual sex. Does the "manual sex" in the article includes fluid such as ejaculation fluid? and does wiping off the cum still poses a pregnancy risk? Do you think she should get a pregnancy test?

Her period hasn't came yet. Is any risk of pregnancy from the situation I've described?

Re: Late Period
And is it normal for girls to discharge fluid before they get their period? Do girls normally get cravings before they get their period? She is craving mangoes, is there anything i have to worry about?

Re: Late Period
Hi Ryan,
When we write about manual sex, we take fluids like ejaculate into account. So the presence of them does not change the risk level for manual sex.
People can have cravings for food (and people with vaginas can have discharge) at any time, and for lots of different reasons. It sounds like it might be time for you and her to talk about what you're both comfortable with when it comes to being sexual, and then adjust the boundaries of what you do to match those comfort levels.

Re: Late Period
Hi Ryan,
That depends a little bit on the person and their body. Why do you ask?

Re: Late Period
Oh okay. I was just curious. Do girls get symptoms of when their ovulation comes? Some people says that yellow discharge are symptoms of ovulation for some people. Is it true? because my girlfriend has experienced that 2 times now (not in the same day) and her period has not came yet

Ryan: in the user registration agreement, we ask users of the boards to please search the main site for answers first before posting asks on the boards.
We have pieces that explain the fertility cycle on the main site, as well a basic piece explaining vaginal discharges, right in the bodies section. Please honor your part of the agreement and check them out, and you'll find these answers already provided.

I just can't find the answers to my questions. Is it possible to ovulate the day your period is due?

Re: Late Period
So does the clear thin vaginal discharge from my girlfriends vagina is proliferative phase? or luteal phase? because some people says that clear thin vaginal discharge is a sign of ovulation. Im sorry I'm confused.
My girlfriend was also stress from her studies, but if her period is late because of the stress, how long then will she start ovualting?

Re: Late Period
Another question,
Is it possible to get pregnant, when you did a sexual activity on CD 3, but did not get your period on the day your period was due(CD 28), instead you ovulated(likely) that day. Clear thin discharge was found on her pantyliner that day, but she was playing sports.
Could the clear discharge means that she was ovulating or that she was doing sports?

Re: Late Period
Ryan: we are very shortly -- as in, in the next few days -- instituting a new policy here that makes clear we will not, at all, engage discussions that are based in or around pregnancy scares.
I'm going to go ahead and set that limit with you starting now. In other words, we need to be done engaging around you feeling scared about pregnancy -- not only with you own body, no less -- from previous sexual activity.
I'd also suggest you stop trying to basically manage or chart your girlfriend's fertility, or make guesses about how her own cycles may work. That's only something someone, should they choose to, via daily charting over a good deal of time, can do for themselves. I'd instead suggest you put your focus on figuring out, moving forward, what you are are are not comfortable with when it comes to what, if any, sexual activities you engage in, and are and are not ready for. If and when someone finds themselves freaking and obsessing like this, it's most often a very good cue from your own head that you've been doing things you just don't feel ready for or able to handle yet.
