Is this normal?

I've been on birth control for about two years and my periods are usually very light. Like I usually only have 4-5 days of spotting. About two weeks ago I got my period but it was only really one day of super light spotting (like two drops of dry blood). Then, this past Sunday I got like an actual period. It's not super heavy it's definitely a "normal" period, but I'm wondering if this is a thing that can happen on the pill? I've had spotting during my second week of pills before so I'm wondering if it's that but heavier than usual because my last period was basically nonexistent?

Hi Quickquestion,

I can't say for certain what the bleeding and spotting were the result of. It's possible that the one day spotting was a side effect of the pill, while the heavier bleed was your withdrawl bleed. Just to check, are you up to date on your STI testing?
And you to whom adversity has dealt the final blow/with smiling bastards lying to you everywhere you go/turn to and put out all your strength of arm and heart and brain/and like the Mary Ellen Carter rise again.
